Lies and Deceit!

Lies and Deceit!

How many lies do you suppose you hear in one day?  How many times in one day might the truth be
distorted?  It can be troublesome to think about this.  We can fall prey to situations that lack much truth.
The Devil (Satan) is forever trying to deceive.  He is the fountainhead of all lies.   Satan will try and get
us to act in haste to grasp at what we think is beautiful and good to trap us in a life of pain or devastation.
Satan wants you to believe that God is NOT really on your side.  What should we do?
We need to stick closely to God!  We must ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in all situations.  The Bible
tells us to fight the enemy we are not to use the weapons of this world, but God gives us spiritual
weapons to break the strongholds of the evil one.   Let us daily choose to reject the lies of the "evil one".
Finally, do not give into fear!  Paul writes in 2 Timothy 1:7 "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but
of power and of love and of a sound mind".    Use the spirit of power to fight the enemy and remain
faithful in believeing!    The Word of God is living and powerful, it will defeat any argument of the
devil.   His peace and His Spirit is with you!   Rejoice in this!

Prayer

We give thanks unto You, O God, because we can approach Your throne, at any time, with freedom and confidence! Father, we thank you that we are Your workmanship and our identity is found in You. We are grateful that we were chosen before the foundation of the world, that you adopted us, that you love us, and that we belong to You. When we are tempted to worry about what others think or we are afraid of how others see us, God remind us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We are no longer condemned; we are forgiven. We are delivered. We are healed. We are set free. We are overcomers by the Blood of the Lamb! We are Your sons and Your daughters. Hallelujah! We are victorious. In Jesus' name, Amen.   (By T.Morrison)
