I'm New Tell Me More

article 2

We offer two Sunday Services!  Our 8:30 am service is more traditional.  Our later service is more contemporary.  There is Nursery Care available for the later service.  When you come, please stop by our visitor center, as we have a special gift for you!   Before the late service at 10:15 am we invite you to enjoy coffee, juice, and some morning goodies.  It would be our pleasure to get more acquainted with you and your family.

If you are new to the Christian faith, please feel free to tell Pastor Jerry.  He can lead you to learning more, and finding the joy Christians experience with Jesus!

How do we receive salvation?  We are saved by FAITH.  First, we must hear the gospel - the good news of Jesus' death and resurrection (Ephesians 1:13).  Then, we must believe--fully trust the Lord Jesus.  This involves repentance, a changing of mind about sin and Christ (Acts 3:19), and calling on the name of the Lord.

Let's think about this in very simple terms.  Salvation means we are SAVED from something!  When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and choose to be His follower, we are set free from the cluthes of death and Satan.  We are saved by Jesus Christ only, and we receive the gift of eternal life.  Life with our Lord, forever!  Jesus came to the world to save sinners.  "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved". Joel 2:32 (also, Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13)

We give thanks unto You, O God, because we can approach Your throne, at any time, with freedom and confidence! Father, we thank you that we are Your workmanship and our identity is found in You. We are grateful that we were chosen before the foundation of the world, that you adopted us, that you love us, and that we belong to You. When we are tempted to worry about what others think or we are afraid of how others see us, God remind us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We are no longer condemned; we are forgiven. We are delivered. We are healed. We are set free. We are overcomers by the Blood of the Lamb! We are Your sons and Your daughters. Hallelujah! We are victorious. In Jesus' name, Amen.   (By T.Morrison)
